I wish I could see all of the things my camera can see at night.
This past week, Ann and I went to the old family farm to do lots and lots of manual labor, but hopefully also relax and enjoy the October weather as well. The Antique was originally built in 1746, [...] Making it to the starting line is a gift. We are so close I can hardly stand it. The bikes are on a truck headed for the mountains of Canada. We’ve packed enough salt tablets to seriously help out with the winter driving conditions in a couple of months. I hope they don’t get confiscated [...] Nothing says the 4th of July like 1000 cyclists screaming past you on the annual Firecracker ride.
This ride has been held every July 4th since I can remember. It’s great for cyclist of all abilities, and any kind of bike you can imagine. Rest weeks are awesome because they’re mostly short, low volume workouts, with just a bit of intensity thrown in. I learned that there is a difference between hills and mountains…And that Raleigh has neither hills nor mountains. Ann and I traveled from Raleigh, NC to Ellijay, GA for the Mountain Madness 70.3. We signed up for this this race because we thought it would be a good training [...] It’s been nearly 3 years since I started Jeff Greene. I just noticed yesterday that I have had 50,076 visitors!
